Ce este un cookie?

Ce sunt cookie-urile “third party”
Anumite parti de continut de pe anumite site-uri pot fi plasate pe website-ul accesat, de catre terte parti prin intermediul bannerelor, boxurilor, linkurilor, codurilor de anliza sau urmarire, codurilor de embed, plug-in-urilor social media – iar toate aceste instrumente pot contine cookie-uri. Ce sunt cookie-urile flash (sau OPL)?
“Flash cookie”, se refera la Obiecte Partajate Local (OPL), care opereaza in acelasi mod ca si cookie-urile si stocheaza setarile preferate pentru operatori ca Flash sau Silverlight. De cele mai multe ori OPL nu pot fi administrate de browser, ci este necesar un instrument special:

Poti alege nivelul de stocare a informatiilor pentru un website, sau poti sterge setarile pentru un site, astfel incat atunci cand il vei vizita din nou, se vor folosi setarile globale pe care le-ai ales din “Global Storage Settings panel”.

Ce tip de informatii sunt stocate si accesate prin intermediul cookie-urilor?
